Examination
papers from previous years....
Chem 351 and 353 examination papers (where available) are provided as .pdf files
Worked solutions are provided to many of the questions on these examinations as potential study aids. They are not intended as marking schemes. They are provided to help you see how to work out the answer, they are not intended to be "model student answers". On any examination it is important that you read and then answer the question you were asked in order to ensure you get full marks.
Worked solutions to
old examinations
from
Chem 351 and 353 back to 2000 are provided where available.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT for your learning process that you try to work the questions, really thinking about them first and not just reading the answers.
Remember that examinations are not written to teach you content, they are to find out what you know !
Therefore, the best use of old examinations is to help you identify what topics you know and which ones you need to study more.
Here are some links to advice on solving written answer problems, an area where students tend to perform more poorly.
